Throwing this out for all the handicappers here...

I'm looking at Race 3 from Saratoga later today. Am close to settling on the #4 Stage Left for my tournament entry. One thing keeps bothering me, though. Since moving from Kentucky to Saratoga in what looks like the 3rd week of July, this horse has worked out twice and produced uncharacteristically slow times. The last time he came off a layoff he was throwing bullets in Keeneland. Is this something you think Ward has done purposely? Or should this be a red flag that something might be wrong here? I usually only look at workouts casually unless we're talking first-timers, but this one leapt out at me. Anyone have any thoughts?

Tough to say Mel. I know a guy that used to train horses in MD years back and he said slow works do not bother him. Then again I do put some heavy stock into fast works. That #8 horse SAR R9 yesterday was drilling some serious bullets and went off at 23/1. He placed. anyhow will take a look at the race PP"s now. If I have any more opinions will hit you back. Good luck today.
